Description

You’re invited to hear about the next round of VicHealth’s Bright Futures Challenge (the Challenge), with grants starting at $75,000 available to local councils.

The Bright Futures Challenge – Phase three

The Challenge kicked off in 2016 and has brought Victorian local councils together with young people and other partners to develop solutions to promote community and young people's resilience, social connection and mental wellbeing.

In this third phase, VicHealth has selected the four most promising projects from phases one and two, and are looking for local councils to deliver these projects in their communities.

The four projects are:

  • Bandmates Victoria - originally developed by Maribyrnong City Council
  • Young Women's Leadership Program - originally developed by Monash City Council
  • We Know Your Name but Not Your Story - originally developed by Corangamite Shire Council
  • Safe and Supported - originally developed by Cardinia Shire Council.

Grant applications open on Wednesday 20 March.

The Information Session

This session will explore the finer details of the grant round and give you the information and tools you’ll need to make a strong application. This will include the new way we’re integrating the most promising parts from phases one and two to increase the wellbeing, resilience and social connections of young Victorians.
